By Anonymous

December 26 2003--Menaka Gandhi, inaugurated the exhibitions on ‘Ten years of PAF’ and ‘Make Up Art’ organized at Silver Oak Hall, India Habitat Centre. The exhibition displayed the landmarks in evolution of Pearl Academy of Fashion and best works of some of alumni and current students. In ‘Make Up Art’, fashion media make-up students demonstrated new trends in hairstyling and make-up.

‘Ten years of PAF’ displayed creations of students that have done remarkably well. These include photographs of Madhavi Swaroop (including Kodak winner), Saadiya (freelance photographer and author), Ashish Behl and Ankit. One of the attractions of the event was technically enhanced photographs and artistic photographs (including of Rashtrapati Bhavan and monuments). Photography through the lens by Madhavi Swaroop and Saurabh Pandey was another center of attraction.

Pictorial display of Pearl's evolution during the past 10 years was also a center of attraction. The alumni of students include many of the current leading names in the fashion industry. Their creations as a student were also on display. The exhibition also showcased various designer creations including Indian wear, Evening wear, Fusion wear, Casual wear, Formal wear and Ethnic wear.

The ‘Make Up Art’ exhibition was one of the first exhibitions of its kind, which presented make-up as an art. There was a live display of make-up and tips for good make-up and hairstyle by experts from Pearl.

According to Mr. A. K. G. Nair, Executive Director, Pearl Academy of Fashion “The exhibitions showcase some of the best works that have been done by the students, many of those have done us proud in their professional achievements. Make Money

By Darrell Knox

If you learn how other people make money online, I mean really study how it’s done and ask a lot of questions, there is no reason in the world you cannot make money on the internet as well.

How do people make money with websites? There are literally tens of thousands of things people make money on from the net. From hard goods of all kinds (anything that can be shipped, including cars and boats!) to information and memberships.

People make money selling insurance, car parts, reports on every imaginable topic people want to know more about, selling affiliate products, and even fundraising for charity!

That’s right! People make money helping their favorite charities raise money. By creating an in-demand product for a charity to sell to their members, and letting them keep at least 50%, you can make money as a professional fundraiser.

I know someone who makes money selling a dog biscuit and dog food cookbook! That’s right, a cookbook for dog lovers to make treats for their pets. I told you! Anything goes on the net as long as there are buyers looking for what you sell.

It’s truly mind boggling how some people make money online. You just have to be creative and understand how the net works and how people shop online. You have to know how to get into the search engines so people can find you.

And most of all you need a couple good ideas, or find other people with great ideas and sell THEIR stuff for commission! There is no excuse for failure – the world of internet marketing is your oyster!

There are tons of resource sites that can help you understand every single minute detail of making money online from setting up a website to choosing a hosting service to taking credit cards and filling orders. There’s nothing else like it in the world.

I have a site that helps people find ways to make money online. I make money with information products, and help others learn how to make money online doing the same thing.

Some people make money on Ebay auctioning things people are searching for right now all over the world. Still other people sell their time as Virtual Assistants helping busy executives and other business owners complete mundane but important tasks the business owner has no time to do.

With some referrals, over time you can be busier than you ever imagined with clients beating down your door because they heard you do great work at reasonable rates. All this without ever meeting ANY of your clients face-to-face. Working online makes working for people in other countries a snap, as long as you speak the language, it’s no different than if the person you sell to or work with lives right down the street.

Bottom line: You CAN make money online if you are the type of person who is a self-starter and motivated to work toward your goals even when the going gets tough.

Four Steps to Protect Your Family

By LeGrand Bagley

By LeGrand Bagley
Pornography marketers will make at least two new Websites while you read this message. That’s thousands every day. The more sites they can make, the more traffic they get, and the more money they make. It doesn’t matter if you, your spouse, or kids are looking for them or not. They’re looking for you- and everyone they can get.

Many Americans accidentally stumble onto pornographic material while online. A recent story at CNN (see www.cnn.com for details) tells how a man was arrested for redirecting unsuspecting victims to one of over 3,000 pornographic Websites.

He used common misspellings for sites like Disney, Britney Spears, or Barney, so that people looking for those sites would find pornography instead.

Why would a pornography marketer go after people that aren’t looking for pornography? Because they can make more money by constantly finding new targets and selling to them. Young teenagers and kids are naturally curious, are developing physically, and are more likely to be addicted to pornography later in life if they are exposed to it while they’re young.

This is one of the largest industries online, and it continues to grow rapidly. You don’t have to throw out your computer to keep your home safe from Internet filth. But you do need to follow a few precautions.

1. Keep your email safe.
Many email services filter out emails you don’t want before you see them- check in with whatever you use now to see if they offer this. Another way to keep your email safe is to use two addresses, one for family and friends and one for everyone else. Guard your private email address closely. Use your public email address everywhere else. If it starts to get a lot of unwanted emails, stop using it and make a new one.

2. Be active in your family’s Internet choices and make rules.
Make sure your children know that they shouldn’t give out personal information to strangers through email or while chatting. Limit ‘alone’ computer time for everyone, especially at night. Talk about what sites your family visits.

3. Delete file-sharing programs.
You’ve probably heard of Napster, Kazaa, Morpheus, and a dozen other programs used to trade music on the Internet. These programs are also used to trade pornographic pictures and movies. They can find and download pornography more efficiently than any Website, and can be accessed even if you use a filter or a filtered Internet service provider. You might want to get rid of these anyway because the music industry has started suing individual users of these programs who download pirated music files.

4. Choose an advanced Internet filter.
The problem with many Internet filters is that there are so many new sites every day. Some filters just block out certain keywords, like “xxx”. The problem with this is, it blocks out sites that have nothing to do with pornography. It also doesn’t block out sites that are in different languages or that may not use certain keywords.

Choose a filter that updates dynamically or automatically, so it blocks out the thousands of new sites set up every day. Another key component is to choose a filter that blocks more than just pornographic Websites. For example, blocking out file-sharing sites once you delete file-sharing programs from your computer will help keep your computer safe. Other categories you might want to block: alternative lifestyle, dating sites, lingerie, illegal activities (like how to make bombs, etc.) and crude or obscene sites.

Making your computer safe from Internet filth is easy.
It only takes a little bit of up-front effort to prevent a lot of problems that can occur down the road.
